We are so excited to report that James Jonathan and Jada Ann's adoption was finalized today, April 6, 2007. Today is also their 1 year birthday and Good Friday. What a blessing from the Lord James and Jada truely are. We dedicated them last Sunday at Westbrook Church. It was awesome to have the opportunity to give ourselves and parents and our children over to the Lord and to call on friends to uphold us in our parenting through accountability and just walking through parenting with us. I will post the video of adoption day at the court house as well as some of the announcement's Jenny has designed. She is so uber talented. After court was over, we went straight to the mall to exercise our "right" to decide to have Jada's ears pierced. She was such a doll and did not even cry at all. Tonight we are going to sears to get family adoption and first birthday pictures.
Yesterday morning I called Jenny's mom because there was an outside chance that we could fly her up here for the adoption. And...the Lord worked out the details and Dad was gracious to share mom with us for the weekend, so she flew up yesterday. It has been such a joy to have her here to share our special day. I will post pictures and video now, but what a blessing.
Oh...a God sighting today, while we waited for Red Lobster to open, I went and browsed around Best Buy. The sales associate I spoke with was adopted as well, and his mom is a therapist and a leading specialist on Attachment Issues.....AND she is a believer!
