Dancin for Jesus

James is really lovin to dance! He's been turning the music on himself and then starts to get down! He'll even start dancin to little tunes his toys make! :>) I just caught him on video yesterday afternoon. Emmanuel is in the background hollering that he's dancing too; and Jada is hollering to be let down from her high chair...and I'm laughing like a fool! :P

Father's Day

So....I had the most awesome father's day today. I am going to post a 3 minute video from today along with some pictures probably.

A few years ago we started a tradition of going down to the milwaukee lakefront for father's day and flying a kite. When I was a boy I used to fly kites and really loved it...so...we started a tradition in our family.

Today Emmanuel took the kite off by himself for the first time. He did really well. He did start by running towards me instead of away from me when I was holding the kite so it would go up in the air when he ran AWAY from me. Pretty funny, you can see it on the video.

We had some of the most awesome things happen today. We were able to have Elena's Sister, T, and her brother, TC , along with T's aunt and grandkids come down to the lake with us. Then, when we took TC back to his Grandma's house where he lives, we were able to see Elena's brother and her biological mother. This was the first time Elena has seen her biological mother since she was a few months old and was in the hospital with bronchiolitis. We took pictures and got some video for us to have. Her mother may be able to put us in touch with her father as well to get some pictures and maybe some video for her to have later in life.

We had such a good time cooking out at the lake, hanging out, playing, and just plain enjoying each other's company. It was hard to let them know we are moving in the fall for missionary training. We are excited about where God is leading us, but it sure is sad to leave friends and family behind.

Delinquent Bloggers are Packing

Wow, I keep thinking about coming out here and posting on the blog...but as you can tell by how long it has been since my last post...I haven't done so well getting out here and actually posting.

The above picture was taken today amidst our packing and sorting :) We are headed to training at MTC in Missouri in the Fall. Wow, the fall sounds so far way until Jenny and I start talking about all that we need to get done before we move to Missouri. Last week we started interviewing for my replacement at my job. Today we turned in notice on our Apartment lease as well. It is exciting and scary all at the same time.

Anyhow, I thougth I would share a picture of the chaos that our house gets into when we start sorting and packing. I guess it has to get worse before it gets better, right????

Well...all for now.
